If you’d like to get the lowdown on the new grocery store and much more, don’t forget to tune into WJR-760 AM to hear Paul W. Smith (WJR) and Stephen Luigi Piazza (Quicken Loans) interview some amazing guests this week. You’ll get some new insights, new information and most importantly, a greater appreciation for the Motor City!

You’ll want to pull out your reusable shopping bag for your first trip to Michigan’s sixth Whole Foods store. Larry Austin, Red Elk Banks and Dr. Akua Woolbright all of Whole Foods Market will be on the show. Together they have nearly 40 years of experience with the company best known for its organic and natural foods! They’ll all be joining the team at the new Detroit store, which will employ nearly 70 local workers. The 21,000 square-foot store, located at 115 Mack Avenue, is the first major grocery chain to open in Detroit since 2007.

You’ll hear from the guy helping to boost the number of new business ventures in the D! Ross Sanders is the CEO of Bizdom, which is an entrepreneurship accelerator that provides seed funding and intense mentorship to entrepreneurs looking to grow innovative tech-based startups in downtown Detroit and Cleveland. You’ll hear from the man who is aggressively working to reduce blight locally! Bill Pulte, CEO of Pulte Capital Partners, partnered with Mayor Dave Bing to found the Blight Authority of Detroit. The nonprofit corporation is focused on neighborhood stabilization through mass trash and debris clearing. Pulte also serves as Chairman of the Board of Carstin Brands, a Pulte Capital portfolio company and one of the largest kitchen and bath countertop manufacturers in the country. In this role, he oversees employees across 17 states. The private equity expert will share his vision for the future of Detroit.
