This is the time of year most of us stress out because finding the perfect gift for Dad is much harder than shopping for Mom. She (usually) wants everything whereas Dad doesn’t ask for much which actually makes gift-giving harder. Here are eight gift ideas will appeal to you no matter what type of dad you have:

  • The Techy Dad. A gadget wrist charger is a trendy gift that will allow Dad to conveniently charge his gadgets while on the go. It saves him from remembering his various chargers. The wrist charger has connectors for most phones, iPods, a Kindle and more. ($19-$39)
  • The Outdoorsman. Your dad may love a handy, new Swiss army knife for his outdoor adventures. Whether he is a fisherman, hunter or just the type of guy who hangs out doing yard projects, he’ll find a use for this. The coolest knives include at least scissors, a file, screwdriver and blade. This will take him back to his scouting days! ($40)
  • The Music Man. Consider thinking outside of the box by surprising dad with tickets to a summer concert. You know him better than anyone so consider which genres of music fits him best. Be sure to check Ticketmaster.com or your local newspaper for the scoop on who’s coming to town. ($75-$125)
  • The Sports-Loving Dad. Your dad would gush with joy if you bought him a good piece of memorabilia. This is perfect for the walls of his office or his desk. Consider his favorite team or players, roll up your sleeves, and research some affordable options. Naturally, the price depends on the grandness of your gift.
  • The Trendy Dad. A unique set of cufflinks or a personalized tie bar will never go out of style. You can personalize either gift while helping to boost Dad’s cool factor at work. With a little digging, you’ll see there’s a wide range of unique cufflinks, like barbells, game boards, sports items, etc. ($35-$50)
  • The Coffee Fanatic. A single cup coffeemaker will remind your dad that it’s all about him! Most single-cup machines make a 16-ounce serving, perfect for a travel mug or small canister. This means he’ll have less to clean up and no coffee goes to waste! ($75)
  • Dapper Dad. Part of being cool is smelling great. Consider one of this year’s new scents for men. These include: Gentlemen Only by Givenchy ($80), Hugo Red by Hugo Boss ($82), Lacoste Green by Lacoste ($65) or Bulgari Man by Bulgari ($59). There are other popular scents new this year, but these are a few that show the range of nice scents. Anything will be an improvement over Old Spice. Out with the old, in with the new!
  • The Photography-Loving Father. The iPhone Photo Cube Printer is a great way Dad can share photos of his kids and grandkids in a snap. Just dock your iPhone, press a button and you’ll have 4” by 6” prints in no time. The great thing is the printer is compact enough to travel with him! ($199)

Let us know if you have some cool Father’s Day gift ideas to share!
